✨ Find Your Flow: A Guide to Our Class Offerings at Studio Layla ✨

Welcome to Studio Layla 🌿

We’re so glad you’re here! ☺️

Located just steps from Thapae Gate in Chiang Mai Old City, our mixed-level classes are designed to support every body and every level. Wondering which one’s for you? Here’s a quick guide.

Hatha Yoga

A steady, grounding practice that explores classic postures and breath awareness. You’ll move slowly, with intention, holding each pose long enough to build strength, balance, and clarity of alignment. This class is ideal for beginners, but also serves as a powerful reset for experienced practitioners. The pace allows time to feel into each posture, notice subtle shifts, and refine your practice from the inside out. You’ll leave feeling calm, centered, and connected to your breath.

Hatha Vinyasa

This class blends the structure of a vinyasa class with the slow easy breath of Hath. You’ll build heat through sequences that alternate between strength-building holds and smooth transitions, guided by steady breath. Expect to move with both intention and rhythm—balancing stability and ease. It’s a beautiful class for cultivating presence and refining your technique without rushing. Suitable for all levels, especially if you enjoy a thoughtful, moderate pace.

Vinyasa Flow

A dynamic, fluid class that connects movement to breath. You’ll move through creative sequences—building from gentle warmups into stronger standing postures, core work, and sometimes playful transitions like arm balances or inversions (with options to modify or skip). Vinyasa Flow is both energizing and grounding, with a moving meditation quality. Whether you’re seeking strength, flexibility, or a way to shake off your day, this class meets you there. Great for all levels—just bring your breath.

Gentle Flow

Gentle Flow is a soft, accessible practice designed to restore balance and soothe the nervous system. You’ll move through simple, breath-led sequences with plenty of support and time to settle. This class is wonderful for those recovering from injury, new to yoga, or simply craving a slower pace. Expect seated and supine postures, supported stretches, and a focus on breath and body awareness. It’s a kind space to reconnect, unwind, and move gently into your day or evening.

Yin Yoga

This deeply meditative class targets the connective tissues—ligaments, joints, fascia—through long-held, passive postures. Supported by props, you’ll stay in each pose for several minutes, allowing the body to release deeply and the mind to slow down. Yin is powerful in its stillness. It invites introspection, softness, and surrender. Perfect for balancing a strong or busy lifestyle, this class promotes flexibility, joint health, and emotional calm.

Yin-Inspired Deep Stretch

A blend of Yin Yoga and intuitive, targeted stretching. You’ll be guided into longer holds that release tight hips, hamstrings, shoulders, and spine—places where tension tends to accumulate. Supported with props, this class invites deep opening without strain. It’s ideal after long travel, heavy training, or intense work weeks. You’ll leave feeling lighter in your body, quieter in your mind, and more at ease.

Tibetan Soundbath

A completely passive and deeply soothing experience. You’ll lie down (or sit) in comfort as Tibetan singing bowls and other sacred sound instruments fill the space. The vibrations help bring your nervous system into a state of rest and harmony, making this ideal for stress relief, emotional processing, or simply deep rest. There’s no movement in this class—just sound, stillness, and space to receive. Come in comfy clothes and prepare to leave feeling like you’ve just floated out of a dream.

Sound Journey

A Sound Journey is an intentional unfolding—a musical arc using gongs, bowls, chimes, and voice to guide you through different inner landscapes. Sometimes soft and lulling, other times textured and evocative, each journey is unique. This is a space to relax deeply and let sound work on the subconscious. You may rest, dream, or find yourself in unexpected places. It’s a powerful practice of surrender, resonance, and inner listening. Exact instruments used depends on the facilitator - please enquire if you have a sensitivity to any instruments.
